Governor of the Yamal Dmitry Artyukhov visited the production and service base of the OFS Technologies company in Noyabrsk.
During the visit, the head of the region inspected the workshop for the maintenance and servicing of high-tech surface equipment, equipment for directional drilling, including rotary steerable systems, which are used in drilling oil and gas wells. Special attention was paid to the electronic circuit board development center, which was launched at the end of last year and allowed the company to localize the production of critical components.
Electronic boards are used in directional drilling equipment involved in drilling technologically complex wells at the facilities of Rosneft, NOVATEK, LUKOIL and other customers.
“The center will completely eliminate dependence on foreign supplies of components in the next 2-3 years. In addition, our engineers were able to unify the procedure for modeling boards, and now one type of board is used for several types of equipment at once. This significantly speeded up the process of equipment maintenance,” commented David Gadzhimirzaev, president of OFS Technologies.
“Our country is faced with enormous challenges due to the introduction of sanctions. It was important to preserve oil service companies, whose work ensures the functioning of the entire industry. This is especially true for Yamal, where the region’s budget, and therefore the development of our cities and the well-being of residents, largely depend on the work of enterprises in the fuel and energy complex,” said Yamal Governor Dmitry Artyukhov.
The OFS Technologies group of companies was formed in November 2022 after the President of the Russian Federation approved the transfer of Russian assets of Baker Hughes to Russian management.
“For the first six months, our company was focused on business transformation, as it had to actually rebuild the most important operational processes. Today we are moving to the stage of accelerated growth: increasing production capacity, including the construction of a new plant, investing in new technological solutions, strengthening human resources with unique expertise and competencies that meet the latest demands of the industry,” added David Gadzhimirzaev.
